Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Trade Insults in Final Presser Before Fight

Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Trade Insults in Final Presser Before FightWhile Floyd Mayweather Jr. spent most of his afternoon in a more subdued state, Conor McGregor remained boisterous Wednesday in the final press conference before their bout in Las Vegas on Saturday.

"I will break this old man...I don't see him lasting two rounds," McGregor said (Warning: link contains NSFW language). "I feel I'll have the decision to end it inside one. He messed up with them eight-ounce gloves.

"I'm gonna f--k this boy up, make no mistake. And when it's all said and done, I'm gonna feel a little bit sad. Because you all should have kept your mouths shut. You should have left me over in that other game where I'm from, that more ruthless game where we bounce heads off the canvas and drill them into the floor. You should have left me where I was because this man is not on my level, he's not even a quarter of the man I am."

Miesha Tate Interview The UFC's Toughest Woman Has A Few Words Of Advice For You - So Pay Attention

MMA is not just a man’s world as there are plenty of solid female fighters showcasing their skills in the UFC. While the road for a female fighter nine years ago wasn’t easy, Miesha Tate fought the odds and has become one of the biggest female stars in the UFC.

MMA is perhaps one of the most demanding sports in the world and fighters are required to stay healthy and injury free as well as make weight for their upcoming matches.

Tate, who is one of the top female fighters in the world, uses many methods to stay in shape. Before I interviewed Tate I did plenty of research and spent hours looking at pictures and I can verify that the methods she uses work very well and keep her looking great. Whether she is drinking MateFit, riding her bike to the grocery store or punching people in the face, Tate does whatever she can to stay on top of her game and be fight ready.

I had a conversation with Tate recently, where we covered quite a bit.

AskMen: Miesha, tell me about your program and what you do to stay fit and fight ready?

Miesha Tate: “I train twice a day and I make sure I eat right. I’m an avid tea drinker and I enjoy the benefits of drinking MateFit. It gives me energy, speeds up my metabolism and helps me shed excess water weight. I also do everything from MMA sparring to strength and conditioning. I make sure to do a combination of different things with my training. “

AM: What advice would you give people who want to be fit and look as great as you do?

MT: “Make sure you are doing something you love to do when working out. Nobody likes to work, so when you do choose a workout, make it something you enjoy doing. You won’t stick with it if you hate it and if it feels like work. Find something fun. My favorite thing to do is JuJitsu. I can do it for hours because I love it. It’s like chess with your body. Also, make excuses to work out. Go for walks and enjoy scenery. You’d be surprised how many calories you can burn during the day if you just make an effort and become more aware. Also remember to start slow, don’t go into it too hard if you are just starting. Gradually work your way towards the hard stuff. That will help you avoid injury and you’ll be most likely to stick with it”

AM: Do you see yourself being treated differently in the MMA world because you are female?

MT: “Yes and no. I think we’ve broken a lot of barriers and kind of shattered our “glass ceiling” that was there for women. There are so many great fighters and we’ve proved a lot of people wrong. A lot of the times our fights are the best fights on the card. I’ve been fighting for nine years and in the beginning there was a lot of backlash and non-supporters of women fighters. We could never find many women fighters and when we did sometimes we were put on the card for the wrong reasons. It was frustrating. When I’d go train in gyms, it seemed like the guys at the gym were skeptical and didn’t think I was as serious as they were because I was a woman, but today things are different.”

AM: What are your goals and what would you like to accomplish in the next five years?

MT: “You know I don’t know if I’ll still be fighting five years from now. I know I want to make a statement in the next 2-3 years. I would love to earn another fight with Ronda Rousey again. She’s the best in the world and as a competitor you want to go up against the best. She’s demolished everyone and I think I’m the only one that has taken her into the 3rd round. I’m going to keep fighting and try to earn another fight with her. I’d love to become the UFC World Champion.”

AM: So what’s next for Miesha Tate?

MT: “I really want to fight Bethe Correia. She’s doing really well and she’s not afraid to engage in a fight. She’s undefeated and she has an exciting style of fighting. My last two opponents that I beat just wanted to grab a hold of me and take me to the ground. They did not want to throw punches with me at all. It’s not as fun for me. I like people that want to stand up and fight. I feel like Correia is well rounded and we could win fight of the night. It’s hard to win fight of the night when one of the two people in the ring just want to hold on to you or lay on you. I want to fight someone that isn’t afraid to stand up with me. Let’s give the fans what they want to see and throw punches until someone goes down.”

Did you hear that Dana White? Let’s get these two ladies in the ring. Make it happen and I’m sure you’ll be receiving cupcakes in the mail.
